| The PD Pipeline Database tracks emerging Parkinson’s therapies and diagnostics as they move through the pharmaceutical development pipeline - from pre-clinical laboratory and animal studies, through human clinical trial phases, and eventually, we hope, to FDA marketing approval and availability to patients.
Using a variety of sources, our volunteer data trackers research and record comprehensive, up-to-date information to help fellow patients make more educated decisions about their course of treatment. Treatments address symptomatic, cognitive, neuropsychological, and autonomic aspects of PD. Some may prove to be neuroprotective, restorative, and possibly even regenerative. Alternative treatments also are considered for inclusion, especially if they follow FDA approval procedures.
The uniqueness of this database is that it focuses on Parkinson’s treatments in development, clinical trials and trial results. It also gives links to press releases, professional presentations, journal articles and sponsoring company information (such as company mergers, dropped trials, and financial information). Finally, this database maintains archives of trials tracked, offering the reader an historical account of treatment approval or discontinuation.
